Constant Reminders
I have recently added a few inspirational blogs to my RSS feed and they have become constant reminders of how lucky (some may say blessed) I am to have such a remarkable husband (he would not say blessed) and a healthy, happy, and perfect little boy.
Read on, I hope you find these families inspiring as well. (be sure to watch Eliot's video, but have tissue's handy)

Bone Marrow Registry
A few years ago my friend Tiffany lost her mother to Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. At the time of her death Tiffany's brother joined the national bone marrow registry with the hopes that someday he may help somebody like his mother; that day has arrived. Today he is in Washington DC undergoing a procedure to donate bone marrow to a recipient with the exact type of leukemia that his mother died from. Completely amazing.
A year ago, our friend Chef lost his baby cousin, Kasey Rose, to leukemia. All of our friends were so touched and heartbroken by this story and wondering what we could do to help in some way. Tiffany has shared this site with me and asked me to share it with everyone I know; this is our way to help people like Tiffany's mom and Kasey Rose.
If you are interested and able to join the bone marrow registry, see the website below. Typically there is a $50 fee associated with joining, but through June 22nd, registration is free.
Please consider joining or at the very least, share this information with someone else.

Catching Up...
I have no idea how my sister-in-law finds the time to update her blog on a regular basis! I am soooo far behind! You're amazing Ms. J!
Ok, there's been a lot going on in Matty's world these days - here are a few pictures to bring you all up to date.
***
Mommy made the MISTAKE of telling Daddy that his car wasn't very "family friendly." Daddy took this as an open opportunity to buy a new car. Here's a photo of Matty taking a bon voyage trip in Maynard the Mini. He looks a bit stunned :-)

Probably the biggest news to date is that Matty has moved out of our room and into his own room; this emotional (for mommy) journey has been made easier by the purchase of a "Matty Cam."

The reality of the move is that Matty really loves his big boy bed! He's been sleeping for 12 hours (yes folks, 12 hours!). He wakes up for a quick feeding between 2-4 am and again around 6 am then sleeps again until 9:00. We can't complain!
Still not sure about the "breathable" bumper but he's not too mobile yet.
Matty and Daddy had a "Dad's Day" recently with a bunch of our friends. Here's Matty and his new friend Sam. They are 18 days apart so we imagine that Matty and Sam will be spending a lot of time growing up together.
Henry with Matty & Sam
Matty LOVES this book. He loves looking at the bright pictures and I'm sure it helps that we make up silly stories to go with each picture. In this example Henry is saying something to the effect of, " and a fishy does this." lol
No idea why I'm including this... I guess so that when Matty grow up he knows that I didn't play favorites when it came to baseball. Although he is adorable, hopefully he'll look back at this picture with disgust :-)

Henry with Matty & SamWe also made a trip back to the beach for Memorial Day. Matty wasn't a big fan of the sun hat!

He was about 6 months old in it. I can't believe his father let that happen.
Matty is also quite the stud. We attend a local Mom's Group and Matty is one of the few boys in the group. Here he is with his girlfriend Cami.
That's it for the photos but if you are interested in seeing more, refer to the link on the right. We have a busy summer planned, hopefully I'll be better at keeping you updated on all of our adventures!
