2007... A Year in Review (According to us)

2007 was filled with a variety of highs and lows. The New Year started off bright with the wedding of The Linds (Happy 1 Year Guys!). As many people know, the lows started for us on January 9th but 6 months later we all happily closed that chapter and are close to putting it behind us for good (I love you kid!).

February brought on a major milestone for my Dad. After 30+ years at the same company, he happily retired and began his permanent vacation! Henry and I also took a short vacation of our own this month. We took a quick trip to Fl to visit the Rents’ and a trip to Universal Studios. Poor Dad C, we dragged him on all the rides! This is also the month that I hung up my contracting shoes and finally took a permanent position (jury is still out on whether this was a good idea).

March was nice and quiet from what I can remember.

April brought us the amazing SJ (who now has his first tooth!).

In May a little man named G entered the world and Henry and I journeyed down to the Bahamas for a week of fun in the sun with Jules, M, The Chef, and Lana. A great time was had by all and WOW did we eat well! May was also the month that we fell in love with our new home (YEAH!).

June introduced us to ARR, the Princess in C&P’s household.

July brought JJR into the Rasal household and closure on a new home for us! A big month all around! July also brought us one of our biggest lows. In late July Timmy was in his accident and things looked quite grim. Thankfully, Tim has proved the doctors wrong and continues to make remarkable improvement. He’s looking forward to starting his new treatment this week! He’s determined to walk again and his resolve is incredibly heroic!

August was move month for us…. FINALLY! Thanks to everyone who helped make sure it was a memorable experience!! K-Rock also turned ONE this month!

September was filled with visitors. We have the Clan from CT up for a weekend and our Seattle Team joined us with K-T for a fabulous visit. September also marked a very special anniversary to our friend JV!!! This was also the month that Daddy & Pam celebrated 25 years! We can't forget that Ms. Em turned ONE!!

October started off with sadness as we were forced to say good-bye to my Aunt Paula. It also marked a lot of great moments; Pam celebrated 50 years of greatness. Lexi (aka The Princess) turned 2. My Mom and Miguel celebrated 25/28 years of togetherness. Henry and I trekked up to Maine for a cold, long weekend and my father finally convinced Pamela to get another dog! Ooohhh, and who could forget that the Red Sox won the World Series!

November brought us Turkey Day and the first holiday to be hosted in our house (thanks Mom C for ALL of the help!). Who knew that cooking a turkey could be so much fun!

December was by far the most eventful month. Little Man turned one and Aly entered our lives (and she’s a beauty). It also brought all of the festivities that come with December; a weekend with our clan from KY, lot’s of holiday tradition with family and friends. I can’t forget to mention that this is also the month that I broke my arm… what a pain in the butt that turned out to be…. (Henry, you’re amazing!!!!) December was also a big month for our friends The V's as they moved into their brand new beautiful home. We ended the month with 14 adults and 10 children (under the age of 4) in our home to ring in the New Year! What a fabulous night. Clearly the times have changed; our night was filled with food, games and bed at 12:15! I wouldn’t have it any other way and was thrilled to have our friends share the special night with us!

All in all I’d say it was a fabulous year. We have had lots of opportunities to spend with our family, friends, and all of the amazing kids in our lives.

2008 promises to be another great year as we welcome Lia, Little Man Linds, and Smudge into our lives. I anticipate a few great trips with Henry, and special times with family and friends. The Pats may even win another Super Bowl! Who could ask for more? Well, I guess I could ask for one more thing ;)

Cheers to all! Thanks for sharing your lives with us

All the best for a special 2008
