In an effort to kick off the holiday season Henry and I filled Thursday December 11th with holiday festivities. First we went to Henry's' company's holiday party (a fun time had by all) and then we went to The Wang Center to see How the Grinch Stole Christmas with my co-workers. We had a great night and after finding the lost BMW in the parking garage we found ourselves home around 11:00. At the time it was slightly snowing but no big deal. Friday morning came and the sky was clear, the roads were clear but the trees had some ice on them. We realized that sometime during the night we lost power. Ok, no biggie it'll come back soon, right? Sure, six days later!!!! Apparently NH suffered the worst ice storm on record. Almost 400,000 customers were without power but... as I mentioned before the roads were clear, the sky was clear and it was actually warm out. What gives? How could we wake up to such a beautiful day but our state (and parts of MA too) suffer such drastic damage? Thanks to the Staybridge Suites for hosting us for 6 days!

We didn't suffer the worst of it though - my cousin was without power for 8 days and one of Henry's colleagues JUST got his power back.
